Supported accommodation
We provide a range of supported accommodation and work to help you and your children live happier, safer lives. This accommodation is provided through Valley House. Supported accommodation is different from a refuge. There is emergency accommodaton available for men and women and family groups. Our service is open to all, including both women and men who are experiencing domestic violence and abuse. We can support you if you are LGBT or experiencing domestic violence and abuse in a same sex relationship.
Our aim is to help people to:

- Live happier, safer lives free from violence and abuse
We respond to people’s individual needs and requirements by offering:
- A confidential service
- Emergency referrals
- Multi-lingual staff
- A mix of furnished self-contained and shared accommodation
- Women only accommodation (with separate units for male victims)
- Individual and family accommodation
- Culturally dedicated provision and services
- Provision for pets (already owned by an individual or family) in self-contained units
- Comprehensive assessment of individual risk and need for adults and children
- Comprehensive safety and practical and emotional support planning
- Individual one-to-one case work
- Group support sessions
- Signposting to other relevant specialist services
- Peer support
- 24/7 access to staff
- Accommodation adapted for people with physical and sensory impairments
- Provision for carers, as appropriate
